VOYA has expanded strategically and rapidly into the top exclusive luxury hotels in the world. VOYA’s organic skincare evolution has introduced a whole new look and feel to the brand to reflect its premium positioning, whilst still conveying the brand’s journey and heritage.
Over the last four months, we have been introducing the beauty behind VOYA’s organic skincare products giving you a sneak peek of some of the people that help make VOYA a continuing success. This week we introduce the fantastic, Pamela Griffin our UK Business Development Manager from the expanding UK Sales Team.
What did you do before joining VOYA?
I have worked in the beauty industry for ten years. Most recently, I’ve worked for Decleor and Carita as their Area Manager in Scotland. I’m very excited about my new challenge of working for VOYA; it is refreshing to work for a company that is still owned by its founders and is committed to staying true to its core belief that organic is the only way forward!
Favourite experiences and elements of working for VOYA so far?
I have been lucky enough to travel all over the UK and visit some beautiful spa’s and meet some of the most dedicated therapists I have ever met. They all have a passion to educate their clients about the benefits of organic products and to deliver the best treatments possible. This is a key focus for me; educating clients about what ‘organic’ means. In order to be called organic in the UK, a product need only contain 0.1 % certified organic ingredients.
At VOYA, our minimum amount is 70% , yet for example our award winning luxury body oil, Angelicus Serratus is an incredible 99.98%. The figures speak for themselves. We use the highest measurement of organic accreditation in the world via the Soil Association standards. Our outstanding body oil, Angelicus Serratus is up for PURE BEAUTY award this week, so if you love it as much as I do, please remember to VOTE! HERE before Monday 21st!
It’s so exciting to have the opportunity to be involved with a brand at so many levels; product development, training, networking, marketing…These are areas of business that sales people aren’t always involved in, but at VOYA, your opinion is asked for and listened to!
What VOYA treatment would you recommend?
Living just outside Edinburgh, I am lucky enough to have Fletchers Cottage at Archerfield right on my door step. They offer a quiet sanctuary where you can escape from busy day to day life. Take a wander in their herb garden or enjoy a VOYA Seaweed Bath in the privacy of your own cabin. Be warned; no shoes are allowed! They will supply you with lovely white, fluffy slippers for the duration of your stay.
My favourite treatment is the Spice Mud Wrap. This detoxifying wrap has anti-ageing properties and leaves your skin much firmer and more toned. You enjoy a lovely exfoliation and then your body is wrapped in seaweed; this combined with ginger and cinnamon makes for a lovely indulgent treatment.
What’s your personal insider VOYA expert beauty tip?
I travel continually all over the UK and as a result, my skin can look quite tired! Leaving Maskerade, our facial mask on overnight leaves my skin very hydrated and refreshed in the morning! This is the perfect tonic for sensitive skin. Containing seaweed and pro-collagen, this amazing mask will calm irritations, moisturize firm and tone, leaving the skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Insider expert tip: Maskerade can be used to help heal shaving rash, burns, grazes even mosquito bites! Also, drink lots of water and try to eat clean and green whenever possible. This combination really works for me.
Keep your Ritzy Spritzy, facial toner in the fridge. It keeps the product lovely and cool so when you use it, not only are you toning and balancing the skin you will feel refreshed and ready to face the day. You can also use it to set make-up or as a pick me up throughout the day. Spray a little in your hair before blow-drying in order to reduce frizz.
Which products do you use the most or prefer?
I have fallen in love with our new product, Luminosity, pore refining exfoliator.
Although it sits in our new oily facial range, it is suitable for many skin types as it is non granular and uses natural pineapple enzymes to gently nibble away at dead skins cells. It is especially great for a more mature skin; this type of skin can be more fragile therefore an exfoliator with grains can be too rough. Luminosity works gently and effectively and only requires you to apply a thin layer, leave for 5-10 minutes then rinse off. Perfect if you are time poor but still want a glowing skin.
I also can’t want to get my hands on the Limited Edition NEW Christmas Diffuser; orange, cinnamon and clove – it’s actually Christmas in a bottle!! Watch this space
