Stimulate your brain by constantly feeding it new and stimulating content. It’ s the part of our body that we constantly use, yet it’s also the one that we neglect. Brain negligence can act as an energy drain. Read an interesting book or practice mindfulness before bed, focus on the here and now. Listening to some beautiful music in the mornings will awaken your senses and feed your brain something pleasant before you go to work, music can act as a pleasant escapism that inspires creativity. Avoid Energy Stealers

You and your well-being are made up of water, muscle, oxygen, feelings and natural energy.

“We are all connected; To each other, biologically. To the earth, chemically. To the rest of the universe atomically.”
― Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Don’t give away too much of your energy to others. Your positive energy is your own and should be kept for your loved ones, your passions and work. Ensure you don’t allow others to drain it from you with negativity, stay positive and purposeful throughout your day! You don’t want to waste time with jouksa during your day either. (Jouksa meaning:  a hypothetical conversation that you compulsively play out in your head).

Negative thoughts turn into emotions and steal your energy, banish them immediately. Be gone!

Begin your morning with a stretch and end it with a seaweed bath. In the morning your body has been rigid and still for hours. Start  the day with a few gentle stretches to allow the energy back in, and ease yourself into the day. This will stimulate your body and more specifically your nervous system which will make you more aware and energized.

In the evenings, you need to take time out to relax, detox and look after yourself. When you immerse yourself in the hot waters of a seaweed bath, you’re treating every inch of your body to the numerous benefits that you might currently enjoy with your seaweed-based cosmetics. It’s been scientifically proven that the best way to allow your body to capture the nutrient-rich seaweed is to have a preliminary steam treatment.

This will open your pores and allow your body to absorb the minerals better. The Iodine-Protein complexes which are prevalent in seaweed are essential for the thyroid gland, to regulate the body’s metabolism.

An under-active thyroid can lead to weight gain, fatigue, cold sensitivity, loss of hair and slow pulse. The WHO classifies Ireland as an area of borderline dietary iodine deficiency and says that Ireland’s intake is well below recommended levels.
